Animal Flow

Animal Flow is a ground-based, quadrapedal movement training (QMT) program that combines elements of various movement systems including breakdancing, parkour, gymnastics, and hand balancing with animal locomotion patterns.

AF can be practiced by individuals of all skill levels, with movements ranging from entry level such as "Activations" and "Form Specific Stretches", all the way to advanced switches and transitions. After learning the various base positons and transitions of the AF system, the movements can be linked into dance-like “flows" that, when performed, result in the development of higher levels of physical aptitude, cognition, and proprioception.

At HSCS, Animal Flow is implemented clinically to improve overall mobility, stability, flexibility, conditioning and coordination. We use Animal Flow's diverse library of movements intentionally to target the areas and movement patterns in which patients are seeking the most development, whether that is for overall comfort in daily activities or increasing the functionality of high-level athletic skills.
